Bad weather forcast: Dubai airport issues travel advisory

The two airlines have advised passengers to arrive at the airport early and plan extra travel time to avoid any road delays that may occur due to the weather.

Passengers are advised to aim to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their flight departs. Check-in closes 60 minutes before the flight departure time. Customers are also encouraged to regularly check the flight information screens for their departure gate and ensure they are at the gate in plenty of time to board their flight.

Passengers can save time at the airport using Flydubai's new self-service kiosks in Terminal 2. Passengers can print their baggage tag, complete online check-in, and then go directly to the dedicated bag drop desk, saving them time and effort.

Emirates has also published a similar advisory on its website, advising passengers to check their flight status regularly and to use the Dubai Metro to avoid the expected road congestion.

Flydubai has also issued a weather advisory from The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) and said it would continue monitoring the weather conditions closely.
